The most interesting parts of the book were the British colloquiums which I had to look up to see how they fit. The storyline was a common enough theme of ex military banding together to right wrongs.It gets tiresome reading about someone rubbing his head with his "heavily muscled arm", or some other variation, repeatably. When one of the characters pulls his gun from his belt, it is described as removing his gun from his "thick, wide, brown belt". Who cares?
After a year or so of killing bad guys, the tables are turned; and, instead of sticking together, they disband. The other half of the story is about them trying to get back together for their own safety. If they had stayed together, I guess this book would have turned into a short story.
I read it because it was free; and, being a stubborn person, I finished it.
PS: After reading the author's second book and getting more familiar with his writing style, I felt I was being unduly critical with my previous rating and realized it deserved at least a three star review.
